Aerobathon Today!

As luck would have it, my Internet connection was down for a couple of days. Thankfully, a nice repairman has resolved the issue and I’m in the process of catching up on email, the guestbook etc.

A big shout out to everyone helping with – and participating in- today’s Aerobathon! Special thanks to Tia, Daniel and Liana! It would be redundant to thank you on behalf of Team Eric – as you’re such a big part OF Team Eric.

Eric continues to remain positive and grateful for the support. Tomorrow is bloodwork, followed by four days of chemo treatments Tuesday through Friday.

Thank you for keeping Eric in your thoughts and prayers!!

Brrrrrrrrrrr

I’m happy to report that we’re all home safe and sound.
We’ll definitely miss the warm weather. Who doesn’t love wearing flip-flops in January?
And yes – I did manage to get a sunburn!

Our sights are now set on returning in March.
We’re optimistic that when Eric’s re-scanned in Texas, he will have responded well enough (to the chemotherapy) that surgery will be an option at that time.
Thanks to all who enabled this consultation – and have followed us on this journey.
We appreciate your continued support and prayers.

Stick around.
Team Eric still has much work to do!

It’s a go y’all!

Great news! The call we’ve been anxiously awaiting came this afternoon. MD Anderson has scheduled the consultation for January 24th.

Eric, his Aunt Kara and I will be meeting with Dr Vauthey (‘Chief of the Liver Service in the Department of Surgical Oncology’) – and Dr Kaseb (Medical Oncologist). Both are highly regarded in the FHC community – and have considerable experience in successfully treating Fibrolamellar. MD Anderson is arguably one of the top two hospitals involved in treating and researching this disease (the other being Memorial Sloane Kettering in New York). We are very optimistic; knowing that Eric will be in the capable hands of the very best!

News and Updates

Donations are off to a quick start – and we’re very pleased to announce that over $3,500 has been received within the first two days!

Donour’s names will soon be appearing on our ‘Thank You’ page. In the meantime, we remain most grateful for your kind support and best wishes. Within the next few days, we’ll also be providing visitors the option of sending Eric a personal message.

Thank you all so much. Please continue to spread the word – and check this page often for news and updates.
